Strong cool front this weekend!
posted by Paul Lehman | 7:27 AM
There is a strong cool front coming through late today (Friday), so both Saturday and Sunday will have much cooler (especially at night) temperatures and drier weather, with NW winds forecast at 10-20 mph at Cape May. Should be a reasonable flight of early passerine migrants at places like Higbee Beach on one or both weekend mornings. Heck, there should be a passerine flight everywhere from Maine to Virginia! But accumulated southbound shorebirds often find such weather to their liking for continuing south, so many of those will likely pull out. Then you'll need to wait for the next warmer, stickier period to accumulate the next batch of shorebirds.
