Mid-Atlantic Forecast - High pressure dominating the region
posted by David La Puma | 6:56 PM
High pressure is forecast to dominate the region, bringing with it light southeasterly winds tonight, and southerly winds through the weekend. A cold front may push through by the end of the weekend or early next week so we'll have to keep an eye out to see when the next push of migrants is to be expected. In the meantime, plenty of birds have been seen around the region, with numbers of warblers still high, and sparrow diversity on the rise. Flickers, Sapsuckers and various Thrushes (including both Bicknell's and Gray-cheeked) have shown up in good numbers over the last few days, as have both Ruby-crowned and Golden Crowned Kinglets. Fall is upon us, and the pleasure of birding in this beautiful weather cannot be understated.

Good Birding!
