Spring Migration Wrapup
posted by David La Puma | 7:18 PM

While at any given moment some birds somewhere are migrating, the annual (mostly nocturnal) spring passage of land-birds over the mid-Atlantic has most certainly tapered off. Most of these birds are either on breeding territories right now, or are still making their way further north into the boreal forests and beyond, where they will soon be finding mates and doing their part to ensure another generation of their species.

During the time between spring and fall migration I will be taking a reprieve from the regular 5-day forecast and instead will report periodically on broader topics regarding migration of all sorts. You can expect one article per month during June, July, and August, but possibly more if something interesting crosses my desk and I just can't wait to share it. I hope you found the migration forecasts helpful, informative, or at least interesting, and if you have any suggestions for this coming fall, please don't hesitate to send them to me at david@woodcreeper.com.

Have a great summer!
